Nolan Myers Smith, 64, of Cynthiana, husband of Kimberly Young Smith, passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at Baptist Health-Lexington.
Born September 13, 1961 in Lexington to the late Gentry Myers & Donna Chapman Smith, he was a former member of U.S. Army Reserves, worked for many years at Sylvania in Versailles and most recently at Aichi Forge in Georgetown. Nolan also co-pastored at the Christian Faith Center with Kim. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed detailing cars and landscaping, but most of all loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Additional survivors include his son, Brent Myers (Carissa) Smith of Paris; his stepmother, Delma Smith of Lexington; 2 sisters, Nancy (Mike) Marshall of Georgetown and Gina (Paul) Currans of Lawrenceburg; and 3 grandchildren: Lucas William, Sadie Jean & Riley Ann Smith.
Also preceding him in death was a sister, Sharon Collier.
Services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, February 28th at the Christian Faith Center by Pastor James Young, Pastor Darrell Young, Pastor Cody Gearles and Pastor Joe Tucker. Burial will follow in Battle Grove Cemetery.
Casketbearers will be Wesley Young, Andrew Young, Jon Young, Chris Young, Caleb Young, Jordan Young, Michael Moore, David Collier, Aaron Currans, Cody Currans, Danny Askins, DJ Dennie Jr., AJ Whirls, Josh Taylor, Joe Tucker, Cody Gearles, Andrew Cordray, Jeremie Tucker, Devin Blanton, James Ritchie, Jake Hondall, Lekenrick Boyers and Larry Carmen.
Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. Saturday until the time of service.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Christian Faith Center.
